Heat Exchanger - Bel Aire » pdf file

Location: Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii - USA

Application: Hot Water heat exchanger

Purpose of Installation: The main concern is to reduce limescale build up in one of the heat exchangers

Installation date: July 22, 2010

Unit installed: S38

Pipe Diamater: (OD): 3/4"

Pipe Material: Cooper

Installation location: Water line before the heat exchangers.

Overview:
History:

1. General: HydroFlow unit S38 was installed in building

2. The Problem: one of the heat exchangers has a heat pressure of 135 to 140 psi and the other one was normal with 100 psi. Chemical wash was performed and the heat pressure did no change.

3. The Recommended Solution: Installed S38 water conditioner after the heat exchanger

4. Results: Limescale was gradually removed from the heat exchanges, in 3 months heat exchanger was working with a heat pressure of 100 psi (normal).

5. Estimated Return on Investment due to maintenance cost savings: less that 12 months.
