Will the coating crack, peel or discolor over time?
No, the coating is only two molecules thick and is invisible. There is nothing that will crack or discolor over time. Unlike a traditional surface coating, it will not crack, peel or discolor.
Will the coating gradually wash off with each use?
No, the product is permanent, unlike some products that are silicone-based and wear off over a period of time.
Does the coating get attacked by chemicals?
No, the only way to remove the coating is by using a rough, gritty or abrasive cleaner, or extremely high or low Ph cleaning products.
How long will the coating last on glass surfaces?
Accelerated testing equal to 10 years of cleaning, revealed that there was minimal or no change in the product’s efficacy.
Does the area to be treated need to be masked?
No, the product is not corrosive and will not harm fixtures,frames or fittings. If the product does come in contact, it will become water repellent for a short period of time before it wears off.
Will the surface become patchy if the coating is worn off in any way?
No. The coating is only two molecules thick and transparent, thus it does not change the appearance of the surface. If an abrasive was to be used, it would not be visible where it was worn away. That area would, however, be harder to clean. The unprotected surface can be repaired easily by cleaning the area and re-spraying with EnduroShield™. The molecules will bond directly to the cleaned surface.
Do I still need to seal the tiles after I apply this product?
No, the coating not only creates an easy-to-clean surface, but also a permanent protective barrier that resists staining.
Can I apply the product over tiles that have already been sealed with a product?
No, the product needs to be applied to untreated tiles and grout to permanently bond with the surface.
Can the product be applied to the floor?
Yes. It will not make the surface slippery. In fact it will make it less slippery. As the tile is sealed from water soaking into the surface, the water beads on top, and the conditions that cause the slipperiness are reduced. The coating may wear over time with constant foot traffic but only needs to be reapplied in these high-traffic areas.
